infome – find anything with your iPhone

Well last week we launched infome. It’s currently averaging ~34 searches per day with no advertising!

infome, pronounced “info me”, lets you search for anything you want, cafes, coffees, taxis, atms, bars, drinks, beers from your iPhone. It tells you which is closest and gives your some more that are nearby. You can install it by searching for “infome” on your iPhone’s App Store.

We feel it is important that the information is accurate (after so many frustrating yellowpages searches) and local so our data is currently limited to the Sydney CBD and surrounding suburbs – Newtown, North Sydney, the eastern suburbs, to name a few – and a few categories. We are constantly improving the information, and if you feel we really need to include something that we haven’t please let us know.

Anyway, I hope you find the app useful – I’ve used it quite a few times now to get me out of a few dilemas!
